HC Deb 18 April 1939 vol 346 c188W
Wing-Commander James

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of recent experience in the Middle East and in certain foreign countries, it is now recognised that efficiency and economy have suffered by the mechanisation of so great a part of our mobile forces; and whether the re-horsing of any of our cavalry regiments is being considered?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

I am advised that the answer to both parts of the question is "No, Sir"
