HC Deb 06 April 1939 vol 345 c3038W
Mr. R. Gibson

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty what was the number of men on the established strength of the torpedo factories in Scotland reaching the age of 60 during 1938; the number of such men retained in employment beyond the age of 60; the number entered in 1938 after discharge for age; the corresponding figures of those not on the establishment, including new hands; and how many of these men failed to acquire pensions through lack of sufficient length of service?

Mr. Shakespeare

I regret that in the time available it has not been possible for me to obtain the figures the hon. Member requiries, but I will communicate with him at an early date.
