HC Deb 09 May 1938 vol 335 c1247W
Mr. Garro Jones

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether any instructions have been given to the Air Mission to the United States of America and Canada dealing with inspection by the Aircraft Inspection Department of any aircraft which may be ordered in those countries?

Earl Winterton:

The need for specific instructions on this matter has not yet arisen. If and when it is decided to purchase aircraft from the United States of America or Canada, adequate arrangements will be made with the manufacturers and the authorities regarding inspection in the countries concerned.
