asked the Minister of Transport how far the arrangements for constructing a by-pass road at Thorpe St. Andrew, near Norwich, have advanced, and when construction will start?

Mr. Burgin:

I hope that the formal Order required under Sub-section (3) of Section 1 of the Trunk Roads Act, 1936, Will be sealed in a few days' time. The necessary preliminaries will then be put in hand forthwith.
