HC Deb 04 May 1938 vol 335 c891W
Mr. Cassells

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that, in spite of objections taken by Dumbarton County Council, Dumbarton, Helensburgh and Clydebank Burgh Councils, considerable alteration relative to the use of omnibus travel tickets issued by the Scottish Motor Traction Company, Limited, on the Glasgow to Helensburgh omnibus route, has taken place since July, 1937, all to the disadvantage and inconvenience of the travelling public; and what steps is he prepared to take to meet the situation?

Mr. Burgin:

If a local authority, in whose area the route or any part of the route of a passenger road service is situate, has objected before the Traffic Commissioners to the conditions attached to a road service licence and is aggrieved by their decisions, it is open to that authority to appeal to me.
