HL Deb 27 June 1938 vol 110 c316WA
THE EARL OF MACCLESFIELD

asked His Majesty's Government how much land, if any, has been acquired by the Ministry of Transport (Department) in Oxfordshire for the purpose of trunk road improvement schemes since the passing of the Trunk Roads Act.

THE EARL OF ERNE

Negotiations for the acquisition of land are proceeding in respect of one large scheme of improvement, involving 104 plots and about 165 separate interests, and of five small schemes involving nineteen plots. No conveyances have yet been made, but it is hoped in certain cases to obtain entry on the land by agreement before the legal formalities have been completed.

House adjourned at six minutes past six o'clock.
