§ Captain WallaceSince 1934 subsidies have been payable from public funds in respect of the following industries and branches of industry:
- Beet Sugar.
- Agriculture.
- Herring Fishing.
- Tramp Shipping.
- Civil Aviation.
- Light Horse Breeding.
- Mechanical Transport.
The assistance to the agricultural industry covers payments in respect of livestock, milk, oats and barley production, and land fertility improvement.
