§ Mr. Rhys Daviesasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether, in view of the adverse criticisms of the Registrar of Friendly Societies, he will consider 417W taking steps, legislative or otherwise, to see that the accounts of all friendly societies shall be audited by competent auditors?
§ Captain WallaceThe subject has been noted for consideration when an opportunity arises for legislation relating to Friendly Societies. In the meantime such other steps as are possible have been taken and I understand that the necessity for competent audit is being increasingly recognised.
