§ Mr. McGovernasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether his attention has been drawn to the sentence of £3 or 14 days each passed at the Sheriff Court, Renfrew, on 5th July on James Holmes, 246, Main Street, Paisley, and Ian Holmes, 6, Knox Street, Paisley, for failing to dismount at a halt sign at the junction of Glenpatrick Road and Beith Road, Elderslie; whether he is aware that both boys are only 18 years of age and first offenders; and whether he will inquire into this case with a view to its reduction?
