§ Mr. LloydMy right hon. Friend has carefully considered this matter in consultation with the Chairman of the Committee, but he regrets that he does not see his way to accede to the suggestion from my hon. and gallant Friend. As was explained in reply to his previous question on 23rd December it is not now customary to authorise the publication of evidence given before a Departmental Committee, and having regard to the fact that the Stewart Committee have included in their report an account of the evidence given, my right hon. Friend is not satisfied that there are any sufficient grounds to justify a departure from this practice.
