HC Deb 09 February 1938 vol 331 cc1064-5W
Mr. Hall-Came

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether his attention has been called to the fact that the Report on Civil Aviation for 1936 has only just been published, in December, 1937; and whether, in view of the fact that the statistics contained therein have now little more than historical value, he can arrange that in future this report is more up to date and shall not be held up on account of the delay in connection with inquiries into air accidents?

Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead

The Report on the Progress of Civil Aviation for 1936, which was published on the 20th December last, was delayed mainly through a reorganisation of the Civil Aviation Department that was in the process of being carried out last year. It is hoped that it will be possible to publish the report for 1937 within the next four months.
