HC Deb 14 December 1938 vol 342 c2012W
Mr. Hepworth

asked the Secretary for Mines whether he is satisfied that proper arrangements have now been made to ensure that adequate fuel supplies for road transport can be maintained in this country in an emergency, either from reserves already in existence or from the numerous alternative sources of supply overseas; and whether he will make a statement on this subject?

Captain Crookshank

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given on the 16th November by my right hon. Friend, the President of the Board of Trade, to a question by my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Accrington (Major Procter), to which I have nothing to add.
