asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what progress has been made during the current year in supplying a reserve of guns, paravanes, and other wartime stores for the ships of the merchant navy?

My hon. and gallant Friend will understand that it is impossible to give full details of the progress that has been made in supplying reserves of the various articles referred to in the question, but I am glad to be able to assure him that the Board of Admiralty consider that good progress has been made and that the position is satisfactory.
