Major Carver

asked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the official announcement on 13th September that there were 20,097 agricultural workers between 14 and 64 years of age reported as unemployed, he can state the exact subdivision of these figures by counties?

, pursuant to his reply (OFFICIAL REPORT, 11th November, 1937; col. 1817, Vol. 328), supplied the following statement

The table below shows the number of persons, aged 14–64, insured under the agricultural scheme of unemployment insurance, who were recorded as unemployed at 13th September, 1937, in each of the counties in Great Britain. The figures include private gardeners.
