HC Deb 16 November 1937 vol 329 c231W
Mr. Cary

asked the Minister of Labour whether his Department have made an independent investigation of the Bedaux system of factory working; if so, whether he has issued any report on the subject; whether he has any statistics to show the number of factories in this country in which this system is in operation; and whether he has received any specific complaints from organised labour as to the effect of this system in any particular factory?

Mr. E. Brown

The answer to the first three parts of the question is in the negative. As regards the last part of the question the Department has been called upon to intervene in a number of trade disputes in connection with the introduction or application of this system.
