HC Deb 16 November 1937 vol 329 cc236-7W
Mr. David Adams

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he is aware that applications to the Milk Marketing Board for supplies of cheap milk to Consett Boys Club have been refused on the grounds that the club is not an educational establishment; and whether, as free milk is provided to unemployed men attending physical training classes, he will secure the provision of cheap milk to this club for the nourishment of growing boys attending physical training classes there?

Mr. Ramsbotham

My right hon. Friend is informed by the Milk Marketing Board that these applications cannot be traced, but, in any case, the supply of cheap milk under the Milk-in-Schools Scheme is confined to the schools, centres, or courses specified in the scheme, of which I am sending the hon. Member a copy.
