asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he can give an assurance that no supplies of basic slag are being exported which renders the necessary supply for the agricultural community of this country inadequate at the present time?

I have been asked to reply. My right hon. Friend has no power to control the export of basic slag. I am, however, informed that the producers of basic slag have taken steps to ensure that a larger proportion than usual
