asked the Minister of Transport what is the total sum collected from motor taxation in Scotland during the last three years; and what is the total sum spent from the Road Fund or Treasury on Scottish roads in those years?

The net proceeds of motor licence duties collected in Scotland during the last three years amounted to £7,650,000. Payments to Scottish authorities in respect of highway expenditure during those years amounted to £7,484,000.
