HC Deb 04 November 1937 vol 328 c1129W
Mr. T. Morris

asked the Minister of Labour what State arrangements exist in Wales for giving Workers skilled training to meet the existing demand for labour?

Mr. E. Brown

The Ministry has not so far established any Government training centres in Wales. There are, however, two centres in operation, one at Pentrebach and the other at Oakdale, and a third under construction on the Treforest Trading Estate, at which a short course of preliminary training is available, after which suitable men may pass on to one of the other centres, or are available for local work of certain kinds.
