HC Deb 02 November 1937 vol 328 c732W
Mr. E. Smith

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether he will arrange an exhibition of pottery and give encouragement to all sections of the industry to exhibit, in order that the industry can have an opportunity of displaying the best possible exhibits for selection to be included in the pottery section at the Glasgow and New York exhibitions?

Mr. R. S. Hudson

No decision has yet been reached as to the nature of official participation by His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom in the New York Exhibition. With regard to the Glasgow Exhibition, official participation will not be designed to display industrial products as such, but the pottery industry in common with others will be at liberty to display its products in the industrial sections of the exhibition.
