HC Deb 27 May 1937 vol 324 c454W
Sir R. Ross

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that certain sub-post offices in Londonderry exhibited no decorations on the occasion of the recent Coronation and contrasted unfavourably with the decorations of private persons in the neighbourhood; and what, if any, instructions as to decorations were given to sub-postmasters on the occasion in question?

Major Tryon

The question of decorations at a Scale Payment Sub-Office on such occasions is left to the sub-postmaster, and no official instructions were given.
