HC Deb 04 May 1937 vol 323 cc989-90W
Mr. Groves

asked the Minister of Health how many cases of typhoid fever have been notified at Liverpool this year; and whether the outbreak is now at an end?

Sir K. Wood

One hundred and twenty-three cases of typhoid fever (including paratyphoid) have been notified in Liverpool during the present year up to the 24th April, the majority of which occurred in an outbreak of paratyphoid fever in January. I am informed that that outbreak is regarded by the local authority as being now at an end.
