§ Sir K. WoodI doubt if the present moment would be opportune for further action on my part in this direction. I have already stated that the matter is being explored by a committee of representatives of Local Government Associations, and the hon. Member will appreciate therefore that it is not being, and will not be, overlooked.
Mr. Harveyasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the delay in the setting up of a central advisory committee, he will take further steps to urge upon the local government authorities the importance of taking action to secure the recruiting of university graduates in local government services, in accordance with the recommendations of the Hadow Committee and the strong recommendation of Circular 1525 issued by his instructions in March, 1936?
