HC Deb 24 March 1937 vol 321 cc2924-5W
Mr. Kelly

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies who appointed W. F. Stephens to come to London as the representative of the island of Seychelles for the Coronation?

Mr. Ormsby-Gore

As stated in the replies given by me on the 24th February to questions on this subject by the hon. and gallant Member for West Walthamstow (Mr. McEntee), Mr. W. F. Stephens was nominated by the Governor of Seychelles to represent the general community of the Colony at His Majesty's Coronation.

Vice-Admiral Taylor

asked the Home Secretary whether any special arrangements will be made prior to the Coronation to facilitate traffic through the Victoria Gate entrance to Hyde Park?

Sir J. Simon

Arrangements have been made by the Commissioner of Police with His Majesty's Office of Works and the Paddington Borough Council for a special system of traffic working to be operated at Victoria and Albion Gates during the month of May. Under this system Albion Gate will be used for vehicles entering the Park and Victoria Gate for vehicles leaving the Park.
