HC Deb 15 March 1937 vol 321 cc1651-2W
Sir P. Hannon

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has in view the manufacture, and the weighted average prices. I regret that comparable figures are not available in respect of the year 1932–33:

introduction of legislation which would provide for the marking of cold-stored eggs; and if he proposes any amendment of the existing law to increase penalties for the removal of marks from imported eggs?

Mr. W. S. Morrison

It is already necessary for British cold stored eggs to be suitably marked before removal from cold storage. The question of the practicability of requiring foreign cold stored eggs to be suitably marked is under consideration, as is also the point raised in the last part of my hon. Friend's question.
