HC Deb 08 March 1937 vol 321 c806W
Mr. Groves

asked the Minister of Health whether any investigation has been made into the milk consumed by the sufferers in the recent outbreak of typhoid at Liverpool; and whether the majority obtained their milk from the same source or from different sources?

Sir K. Wood

This outbreak has been investigated by officers of the Liverpool City Council, and I am informed that some 60 per cent. of the persons affected obtained their milk supply from the same retailer. But as I informed the hon. Member on 3rd February, there is no reason to think that milk was the source of infection in these cases.
