HC Deb 29 June 1937 vol 325 cc1808-9W
Sir N. Grattan-Doyle

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education whether the British Broadcasting Corporation has offered or has been invited to co-operate in the Government's physical training movement; and, if so, in what way?

Mr. Lindsay

I am glad to take this opportunity of expressing appreciation of the readiness with which the British Broadcasting Corporation are examining suggestions made to them in the course of informal conversations with representatives both of the Board and of the National Advisory Council. The current series of health talks has, it is hoped, already helped to draw public attention to the importance of the subject, and further possibilities, ranging from broadcast talks to early morning broadcasts, are now being studied.
