HC Deb 09 June 1937 vol 324 cc1778-9W
Mr. Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the new Colonial Marketing Board will concern itself with the marketing of produce of mandated territories within the British Colonial Empire; and whether it will be able to assist the marketing of Palestine citrus in particular?

Mr. Ormsby-Gore

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part of the question, it would be within the competence of the board to deal with the marketing of Palestine citrus, but it will be for them to settle their own programme. I clearly cannot commit them in advance.
