HC Deb 09 June 1937 vol 324 c1779W
Mr. Lewis

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether he will state the total value of exports guaranteed under the Overseas Trade Acts in respect of which payment by the importers was overdue as at the end of the last financial year, excluding those amounts in respect of which the British Government had already made good the loss to the exporters?

Captain Wallace

I have been asked to reply. The amount notified to the Export Credits Guarantee Department as overdue at the 31st March last was approximately £210,000. It is not anticipated that any large part of this is likely to result in loss.
