asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he is now in a position to say that he will appoint a committee to inquire into the Superannuation Act for the Civil Service with special reference to the temporary service of staff in relation to such scheme?

No, Sir. I have at present nothing to add to the previous answers which have been given on this subject.

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether, in view of the superannuation arrangements of an obligatory or permissive, contributory or non-contributory nature, contained in the following Acts: Superannuation Acts, 1834 to 1935; Superannuation (Metropolis) Act, 1866; London County Council (General Powers) Acts, 1891 to 1931; Poor Law Officers Superannuation Act, 1896; Asylum Officers Superannuation Act, 1909; Asylum and Certified Institutions (Officers Pensions) Act, 1918; Teachers (Superannuation) Acts, 1918 to 1935; Electricity Supply Acts, 1919 and 1926; Police Pensions Acts, 1921 and 1926; Local Government and other Officers Superannuation Act, 1922; Rating and Valuation Act, 1925; Fire Brigade Pensions Act, 1925; Clergy Pensions Measure, 1926; Local Government Acts, 1929 and 1933; Local Government (Clerks) Act, 1931; and Midwives Act, 1936, as well as in Royal Warrants, Kings Regulations, Admiralty Regulations, private Acts relating to particular local authorities and public utility undertakings, and in the Local Government Superannuation Bill of this year, he will now consider making suitable arrangements for superannuation to be applied in the case of the permanent unestablished Government messengers?
