HC Deb 16 February 1937 vol 320 cc1013-4W
Mr. W. Joseph Stewart

asked the Minister of Labour what steps are being taken by the Government to deal with the question of unemployment in South-West Durham, where a number of pits have been worked out and the percentage of insured persons unemployed is 44.7; and what is being done to meet the situation without having to wait for the introduction of the Special Areas Bill?
