HC Deb 04 February 1937 vol 319 c1801W
Mr. Grenfell

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his attention has been called to the resolution of the International Labour Conference concerning the calling of an Economic Conference under the auspices of the League of Nations in collaboration with that office and to the suggestion of the director that the time was now opportune for the calling of such a conference; and what is the attitude of His Majesty's Government on this question?

Viscount Cranborne

Yes, Sir. I am aware of the resolution in question. The attitude of His Majesty's Government remains, however, as stated in the answer given on 14th May last, in reply to a question by my hon. Friend the Member or Southampton (Mr. Craven-Ellis), of which I am sending the hon. Member a copy and to which I have at present nothing to add.
