WoodInvestigations by my alkali inspectors, in collaboration with the local authorities and the colliery companies concerned, have already shown the practicability in most cases of methods of tipping to avoid nuisance of this kind, and the investigations are still proceeding. Local authorities have powers relating to nuisances arising through failure to adopt such methods.
