asked the Minister of Health whether he will give the House any information in connection with the increase of out-relief granted by the London County Council Public Assistance Committee; what will be the cost per annum; when the new scale will begin; and whether any of the cost will be paid by the Government?

I understand that the Council have modified their guiding scale of relief so as to increase (in most cases by a shilling a week) the standard rates of allowance for persons 65 years of age
