HC Deb 02 March 1936 vol 309 c1022W
Marquess of CLYDESDALE

asked the Attorney-General whether he is aware that a definite political levy is being charged, by carefully disguised means, to the members of a certain trade union, which levy is imposed upon members regardless of their political opinions; and whether he is prepared to take special precautions to put an end to such practices?

The ATTORNEY-GENERAL

I am not aware of any such charges. If my Noble Friend will inform me of the facts to which he refers, I will consider them.
