(2) how many immigrants have been admitted into Palestine on direct instructions from the British Government; and whether these admissions are in conformity with the regulations?
§ Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTERAs I informed the right hon. and gallant Member for Newcastle-under-Lyme (Colonel Wedgwood) on 3rd April, the administration of the Immigration Law of Palestine is a matter within the discretion of the High Commissioner, and the British Government have not interfered, and have no intention of interfering, with his discretion in this matter. I will consult the High Commissioner for Palestine with regard to the other inquiries, and will communicate with my hon. Friend when I have the reply.
