asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what has been the revenue for 1932 and also for 1933 up to date from the Import Duties on barley, oats, maize, linseed and concentrated feeding stuffs?

The following statement shows the approximate amounts of duty collected on the articles specified in the calendar year 1932 and the first quarter of 1933. Concentrated feeding stuffs as such are not separately distinguished in the official records, but figures are given for oil seed cake and meal.

The cost of the transfer forms issued free to the public in the period from 1st October, 1932, to 31st March, 1933, was approximately £330. The following table shows the effect over the same period of the operation of Section 42 of the Finance Act, 1920, as amended by the Finance Act, 1931.
