asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education the total number of children attending elementary schools in 1932 in England and Wales?

Mr. RAMSBOTHAM

The total number of children on the registers of public elementary schools in England and Wales, on 31st March, 1932, was 5,575,752.

Mr. MABANE

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education if he can state for England and Wales how many classes there were in elementary schools in 1932 with not over 20 pupils, over 20 but not over 30 pupils, over 50 but not over 60 pupils, and over 60 pupils, respectively?
