Sir H. YOUNGThe inquiries necessary to enable me to come to a decision upon Mrs. Batcock's application for an old age pension are proceeding, and are being expedited to the fullest extent possible. I should point out that, although it was open to Mrs. Batcock to submit her application as early as March last, she did not do so until the beginning of this month.
