§ 14. Mr. Kirkwoodasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had with the United Nations agencies on the law of the sea.
Mr. RifkindThe third United Nations conference on law of the sea established a preparatory commission to implement aspects of the convention. A United Kingdom delegation of officials attended the commission's first session in Kingston, Jamaica from 15 March to 8 April and made our views widely known. The delegation will attend the resumed session at Kingston in August.
