HC Deb 21 December 1933 vol 284 c1497W
Mr. N. LINDSAY

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that the loss at the Bristol repertory theatre for the past year of account amounted to £700, whereas the Entertainments Duty paid amounted to £1,700 and the wage roll to £7,000; and whether he will take these figures into account in considering whether any alterations can be made in the present incidence of the Entertainments Duty in connection with the forthcoming Budget?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

I note the information given by my hon. Friend in the first part of the question. The answer to the second part of the question is in the affirmative.
