§ Sir P. SASSOONThe night flying exercises referred to are of a special character, and are restricted to a limited period of six weeks at a selected station. They are essential if the defence of London is to be efficient. I need hardly say all possible measures are taken to reduce the inconvenience to a minimum, and it is a case in which my Noble Friend feels justified, in the public interest, in asking for the forbearance of the community for the limited period involved.
