GRAHAMasked the Minister of Labour whether the sub-committee set up by the National Advisory Council for Juvenile Employment to inquire into the employment of young persons under the age of 18 in occupations whose hours of employment are not at present limited by statute have submitted a report; and what action the Ministry propose to take in the matter?
Mr. HUDSONThe council reported on this subject on 13th January, and the report has been published with the title "National Advisory Council for Juvenile Employment (England and Wales) Fourth Report." With regard to the last part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the statements made on Friday last during the Debate on the Second Reading of the Children and Young Persons Bill by my hon. and gallant Friend the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, and by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education.
