HC Deb 09 February 1932 vol 261 c686W
Mr. T. GRIFFITHS

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office what will be the cost of the mechanisation of the Territorial Army brigades of Royal Artillery; and why it is proposed to complete the mechanisation in the year 1932 instead of the year 1933, as originally planned?

Mr. COOPER

The mechanisation of the Territorial Army field and medium brigades will result in a considerable saving. The earlier completion of the scheme is made possible by the fact that a number of mechanical vehicles has become available through a reorganisation of the cavalry of the Regular Army.
