§ Dr. BURGIN:The following table shows the quantity and declared value of the undermentioned products imported into the United Kingdom and registered during the year 1931 and the first 10 months of 1932, as consigned from the countries specified.
Most of the subsequent reports have included recommendations relating to a number of classes or descriptions of goods, and of these recommendations the following were made without previous public notice:
- (1) A recommendation for drawback under Schedule II of the Import Duties Act (report dated 5th August: Cmd. 4157).
- (2) Two recommendations for the addition to the Free List of rags, partly of wool, not pulled; and molasses used for' certain purposes (reports dated 29th June and 14th September: Cmd. 4127 and 4171 respectively).
1439 - (3) Recommendations -to adjust certain iron and steel duties (reports dated 27th May and 29th June: Cmd. 4101 and 4117 respectively).
- (4) A recommendation to adjust the duty on lined strawboard (report dated 5th August: Cmd. 4156).
- (5) A recommendation to remove the additional duty on Lily of the Valley Crowns (report dated 23rd November: Cmd. 4205).
