HC Deb 06 December 1932 vol 272 c1437W
Mr. LEONARD

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the number of recommendations received from the Import Duties Advisory Committee; and the number of such recommendations made without the usual public notice that the subject matter was under their consideration?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN:

Fourteen reports have been received from the Import Duties Advisory Committee, and published. The first, presented in April last, was of a comprehensive nature, and for reasons given in it was prepared without resort to the procedure of advertisement subsequently adopted by the committee.
