asked the Minister of Labour the number of unemployed at present being paid benefit at the Employment Exchanges in Bellshill, Uddingston, and Baillieston; and how many of these are on transitional benefit?

There is no Employment Exchange at Bellshill or Baillieston. At 21st September, 1931, there were 1,826 persons on the register of the Uddingston Employment Exchange with claims admitted or under consideration, of whom 622 had claims authorised for transitional benefit.
