HC Deb 24 November 1931 vol 260 c242W
Lord BURGHLEY

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether his Department will compile a record of the volume of products of an agricultural nature which have been imported into this country in excessive quantities during the past year, and especially in the last month; and whether he will take steps to ascertain in each case the effect of such importation on the well-being of British agriculture?

Sir J. GILMOUR

The inquiries on which my Department is engaged on this subject cover both the suggestions put forward by the Noble Lord.
