GRAHAMThe Polish Government recently issued a decree which made the grant of concessions to carry emigrants to North America conditional on their carriage direct from Dantzig or Gdynia to the country of destination. As the British lines concerned have no direct sailings to these ports, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs instructed His Majesty's Ambassador at Warsaw to make representations on the subject to the Polish Government. These representations have so far been without result.
