§ Mr. TOM SMITHasked the Minister of Labour how many schemes of work for the relief of unemployment have been put forward by the West Riding County Council during the last 12 months: how many 1976W have been approved and their total capital value; and how many are still under consideration and the present position with regard to them?
§ Miss BONDFIELD,pursuant to her reply [OFFICIAL REPORT, 19th February, 1931; col. 1425, Vol. 248] supplied the following information.
Since 1st February, 1930, 49 schemes have been submitted by the West Riding County Council of which 28, estimated to cost £194,831, have been approved. 20 schemes, estimated to cost £213,525, are still under consideration.
